3 (who?)
Me: I sent off Sicarius to prepare for the Zodi she can summon shadow creatures to increase our numbers...I was going to go over my plan with Zodi but...well she kind of ran off.

Kate: What? Where is she?

Me:  She's at the execution.

Kate: How do you know?  Wait...something's off here...*Swipes hand across me, my flesh ripples around the hand and then reforms* illusion..but...this isn't one of Robert's techniques...

Grandmaster: Sorry for the deception but he asked me to buy him some time.  He was afraid Wolfor may have been spying on us and wanted to keep them preoccupied if they were.

Kate: To do what?

*Back at the execution grounds*

Wolfor: Executioner, start with the captain.  *The executioner raises the blade but instead of chopping downwards at the captain, he turns the blade sideways and Wolfor finds it an inch from his neck*  Ahhh! *He stumbles back startled.*  Please don't hurt me!

Executioner: *Paused stunned at the man who stopped the axe from swinging* Wol-Wolfie? But I could have stopped this.  I could have killed him and we would have won.

Me: You would have only been reinforcing his ideas that we are the villains here. That can't be allowed.  Besides, *looks at the cowering man on the ground, trembling*  He isn't the real Wolfor.

Zodi: He isn't? But...I recognize him...I remember his face. How can that not be him?

Me:  Yes the resemblance is remarkable...but the energy signature is all wrong.  Wolfor always had a regal tinge to his aura. This man has only malice and a sense of illusion.

Fake Wolfor: y-Yes that's right...I'm-I'm just an actor. P-please don't hurt me.  He made me do this!

Wolfor: *Stepping out from the crowd, disguised as a common foot soldier*  So you figured it out, did you Wolf.Spider?

Me: It wasn't difficult.  You were never one for straight forward proclamations.  Always liked to sneak around.

Wolfor: You're one to talk, a man that had the strength to take on just about any enemy head on but preferred to use trickery to attack from the rear or the sides.

Me: I do what is necessary to win.

Wolfor: As do I.  Now *men surrounding us* do you wish to fight or skip this ordeal, and surrender quietly. I'll give you a quick death this time.

Me: Neither actually. *Places a hand on Zodi's shoulder and IMTs away*

Wolfor: (Hmm to use that technique twice with little rest period. How much of your old strength have you regained Wolf.Spider?)

*Back at the camp, IMTing in with Zodi.*

Me: Pack up. We'll have to move in an hour. Maybe less.

Zodi: Wolfie...thank you. If you hadn't been there...I would have killed the wrong-

Me: *Angrily* You stupid child!  *Zodi backs away surprised*  Do you realize what you could have cost us?

Zodi: But I was trying to stop the executions...I was just trying to help.

Me: And you walked right into their trap!  You almost got us all caught! You almost got yourself killed!  You have lost us whatever element of surprise we had! Do you know where you have left us!?!?! *Zodi starts to run away crying.*  I'm not done talking to you Zodi! I-*Someone grabs my arm, I turn to see Kate, looking at me.*

Kate: Please Robert. She's heard enough.

Me: *Softening up*  I'll go talk to her.

Curious: Actually, I think it will be better if I do.  *Walks over to Zodi*

Zodi: Di-Did I really cost us the battle?

Curious: Of course not.  Wolfie's just upset is all. He'll calm down in a moment.

Zodi:  I don't understand. I was just trying to help is all...I didn't mean to cause any harm.

Curious: Trust me.  He understands. He's just upset because...

Zodi: Because?

Curious: Because he thought he had gotten you killed. Trust me. I know what it's like to have a death on your conscience.  When he found out where you went, well...Wolfie thought that he may have had your death on his conscience.  That's all.

Zodi: So...he's not angry with me?

Curious: Well maybe a little but he knows he was unfair and he'll calm down in a moment.  So why don't we wipe those tears away and go back over there?

Zodi: O-Okay. *smiles tentatively*
1. Poor Zodi...I guess I really lost my composure there.

2. I thought this would be a good time to have a kind of sisterly chat between Curious and Zodi.

3. Yes. The battle will start soon. This part's gotten a bit drawn out. More than I had originally planned but I think it's been necessary so far.

wolf spider you shouldnt have yell at zodi like that its not her fault that assasins are usually trained onli to kill and not to worry about the impact that his/her accions whill cause to other people
Yes he was. I usually try to remind the readers that my character isn't perfect, he doesn't always have the right answer and he does occasionally lose his cool.
So Curious hasn't said anything officially but I have talked to her some so I'm assuming she's giving me consent that it looks good. I'll do a typo check and post it sometime tomorrow afternoon after I'm off work.

Shipping you and Zodi so hard right now. Just so you know. :P
Thought as much. I was thinking it as I was writing the last bit. "I probably should be careful because if I'm not, I'm sure that Wolfen will try to ship me and Zodi again."

Give in. Resistance is futile.
Resistance is only futile when you accept that there's nothing you can do. I have not accepted that.
