Like a Record Baby

Did you know the world spins? I don't mean it spins around the sun or around it's axis or maybe the moon.  No it spins around you. I don't mean the 'youre the center of the universe' bullshit.  I mean it keeps you dizzy, disoriented, confused.  Sometimes you don't know which way you are going but just when you lock the world down, the people start spinning and you are as confused as ever.

Some of these people will never have to find their way to the extent you might and others still will never know to look. Yet some will spend their whole lives searching. Reaching goals that we never dared to dream but still feel the urge to move forward.

I want to reach yet something restrains me. My feet are encased in mud and I realize that the world is spinning me. How do I get out? what do I need to do? I move my feet and sink deeper. To my chin. I begin to suffocate. My chest compresses feeling almost caved in. My eyes sinking below the surface and I see only darkness. I reach up and someone grabs my hand and pulls me out.

I smile briefly but feel the shock again. The world hasn't stopped spinning and I am still trapped with it but maybe this time I will get a little farther.
